infoAbout Edumetric
What does Edumetric do?
We help you get into English-taught medical programs abroad: medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, and other medical fields. We advise you on choosing a university, help you prepare your documents and get ready for the entrance exam, assist with your move abroad, and stay in touch until you graduate.
Our office is in Katowice, but we work with applicants remotely, so you can get started from any country.
What does working with you look like, step by step?
One advisor handles the entire process:
- Free consultation: we talk about your grades, budget, and plans.
- Choosing a university: you get a shortlist of well-matched universities with real costs.
- Documents and exam: we help with translations, your application, and preparation for the exam.
- Admission and departure: tuition, a visa where needed, accommodation, and travel.
- Support until graduation: transfers, internships, and diploma recognition.
Do I need to come to your office?
No. We handle most matters by phone, WhatsApp, email, and through the student area, and you can send your documents online. If you’d prefer to talk in person, you’re welcome to visit our office in Katowice during business hours. It’s best to call ahead so your advisor can make time for you.
Do you also help during my studies?
Yes. Your advisor stays in touch throughout your studies. We help with university matters, transferring to another university, internships, and, at the end, diploma recognition.
This support is free for our students for the whole of their studies. Only a transfer to another university is paid for separately, and we set its price individually.
edit_documentAdmissions and documents
Is there an entrance exam?
Most universities run their own exam in biology, chemistry, and English, or an admission interview. Many of them hold it in Poland or online. We help you prepare for it.
What documents do I need?
Universities usually ask for:
- a secondary school leaving certificate (or confirmation that you will receive it),
- a passport or ID card,
- passport-size photos,
- a medical certificate,
- sometimes an English language certificate.
Some documents need to be translated and certified with an apostille. We give you the exact list for your chosen university at the start of the application process.
What level of English do I need?
Classes are taught in English, so B2 level is usually enough. A certificate isn’t always required: many universities test your English in the entrance exam or during an interview. If English isn’t your strong point, let us know during the consultation and we’ll choose the right university and preparation for you.
When should I start the application process?
Ideally 6–9 months before your studies begin. Most universities admit students for the fall semester (starting in September or October), and some also for the spring semester (starting in February or March). Places at popular universities fill up sooner, so it’s worth getting in touch as early as possible.
Do I need a visa?
European Union citizens don’t need a visa to study in another EU country. Once there, they only need to register their residence. For studies outside the EU, for example in Georgia, the requirements depend on your citizenship. We check them for you and help you prepare the documents.
paymentsCosts and payments
How much does it cost to study and live abroad?
Tuition starts at around €4,500 a year in Ukraine and goes up to €20,000 in Spain. Living costs are usually €400–1,100 a month, depending on the city.
How much does your help cost?
The consultation and document assessment are free. Our help with first-year admission costs €900: you pay half as a deposit before the admission process starts and the other half once your classes begin. We price transfers and entry into a higher year individually, as they depend on your case.
Support during your studies, the student area and the Edumetric app are free for our students for the whole of their studies. You will find the details on our Services page.
How is tuition paid?
Tuition is paid directly into the university’s account, usually for the whole year or in two semester installments. Payment deadlines and methods depend on the university. We tell you what they are before you decide to go abroad.
What costs are there besides tuition?
On top of tuition, budget for a dorm or apartment, health insurance, the university’s application fee, document translations, travel, and everyday expenses. We list approximate living costs on each country’s page.
Is the deposit refundable?
Yes. If your admission is unsuccessful, we refund the deposit. For first-year admission, that is €450, half of the price. The refund terms are set out in your admission agreement.

Can I transfer to a university in Poland later on?
Yes, a transfer is possible once you’ve completed certain years of study, provided the curricula are compatible. We help you prepare the application and choose a university.
What language are classes taught in?
All the programs we recommend are taught entirely in English. The local language is useful in everyday life and in classes with patients, which is why many universities teach it as part of the program.
How long do the programs last?
Medicine usually takes 6 years, dentistry 5–6 years, pharmacy 5 years, and veterinary medicine 5.5–6 years. We give the exact length of each program on the university’s page.
Where will I live?
Most often in a university dorm or a rented apartment, on your own or with roommates. We help you choose and book a place before you arrive.
workspace_premiumDiploma and work
Will a foreign diploma be recognized in Poland?
Yes. Graduates of our partner universities can work as doctors in Poland. The diploma recognition procedure depends on the country where you study, which is why we describe the exact path on each university’s page and help you through it step by step.
Is a diploma from an EU university recognized in other countries?
Yes. Diplomas in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine from universities in the European Union are recognized in all EU countries under Directive 2005/36/EC. To work in a particular country, you also need a license to practice, which you apply for with the local professional chamber.
What about a diploma from a university outside the EU?
Diplomas from countries outside the European Union, for example Ukraine or Georgia, require a recognition procedure in the country where you want to work. This usually means nostrification or an exam. We explain the rules before you choose a university and help you through the procedure after graduation.
Do you help with specialization after graduation?
Yes. We also offer specializations and postgraduate studies at selected universities. You’ll find them in the university finder when you select the course.
badgeStudent area and account
What is the student area?
It’s your account on our website. It gives you contact with your advisor, messages, files, a chat with other students, the E-Dean's Office, and the “Referrals” tab. Applicants use the student area to submit their university application or a transfer request.
It is free for our students for the whole of their studies. All its features are described on our Edumetric app page.
How do I create an account in the student area?
Click “Log in” at the top of the page and choose to register. Applicants create an account without an ID. Students enter the ID from their Edumetric student card, along with their first name and surname exactly as they appear on the card.
What is the Edumetric student card?
It’s the card given to students recruited through Edumetric. It shows your five-digit ID, which you need to create a student account in the student area.
What is the E-Dean’s Office?
It’s a tab in the student area with a link to your university’s online dean’s office. It appears once we assign you to a university.
How does referring friends work?
Students with an Edumetric student card can refer friends. Your referral code is the ID on your card: you’ll find it in the student area, in the “Referrals” tab. The person you refer enters it in their university application or transfer request form. Once they become a student, you receive a commission. You can see the rules, rates, and ranking in that tab after you log in.
